HGH India begins; hosts 35K retailers from 500 cities & towns


The HGH India 2022 trade show has opened its doors to over 35,000 retailers from 500 towns and cities across the country at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. Products from over 400 leading brands and manufacturers from across India and 26 other countries will be on display until 15 July.

Over 100 new exhibitors will be showcasing their collections for the first time at HGH India, in addition to 300 regular exhibitors launching new collections for the upcoming Diwali and festival. Visitors will experience the perfect combination of innovation and stability in procurement. Collections developed through partnerships such as Suneet Varma Decor with Rumors, Ritu Kumar Home with F&F, Nautica with Bianca and Toile Indiene with Excel wallpapers will be launched at HGH India 22, organizers said in a media release.

The HGH India 2022 trade show has opened its doors to over 35,000 retailers from across the country at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. Products from over 400 leading brands and manufacturers from India and 26 other countries will be on display until 15 July. More than 100 new exhibitors will present their product range for the first time at HGH India.

The inauguration was officiated by Chief Guest Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Minister of State for Textiles and Railways, Government of India, UP Singh, Minister of Textiles, Government of India and BB Swain, Secretary, MSME Department, Government of India, and was honored by fashion designer Suneet Varma.

“The 11th edition of HGH India comes as India celebrates its 75th anniversary.th Year of Independence (Amrut Mohatsav), this is the perfect time to showcase the Made in India wave and let it shine globally. HGH India is promoting local artisans and small players to help them grow through this platform. Some events focus either on the domestic market or on international players, but at HGH India it is a beautiful fusion of both worlds, making it a mix of talent, innovation and technology in the field. Platforms like this further support the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission in India,” said MoS Jardosh.

At HGH India 2022, there will be 6 focus areas – Sleep World, Home Furnishings, Smart Kitchens, Walls & Windows, and Kids Home & Outdoors. HGH India brings together global and Indian exhibitors with a clear focus on the Indian domestic market.

The trade show offers an opportunity to explore a wide range of products and stabilize the categories of furniture fabrics, blinds, beds and bathrooms, decorative cosmetics, table and kitchen linens, rugs and rugs, wallpapers, wood and synthetic floors, decorative accessories, handicrafts and more. Supply, Home Furnishings, Outdoor Lifestyle, Household Supplies, Kitchenware, Cookware, Glassware, Cutlery, Plastics, Children’s Homeware and Gifts of All Kinds. Innovative products from over 400 brands and manufacturers from 30 countries and from all major production and export hubs across India will be on display at HGH India 2022.

“I am very excited to be at HGH India. I also had the opportunity to witness HGH India last year. I have been told that it is now a biannual trade show and will continue to be held in New Delhi and Mumbai. In India, whenever we talk about When it comes to textiles, we always look to export figures. Reassuringly, India exported over $44 billion worth of textiles and handicrafts in the last fiscal year, a record high. The demand for textiles in the domestic market is very high. Especially after the pandemic, the textile industry that has really got a boost is home textiles,” UP Singh said.

“The government has also launched 7 large textile parks to deal with high logistics costs and the fragmented value chain we have. Most major export destinations such as the US and EU are pursuing a China plus one strategy which will prove beneficial to India , because the labor cost is lower compared to China,” Singh added.

Arun Roongta, Managing Director of HGH India, talks about the expected results on the 11thth Edition, this is also the second consecutive performance in Greater Noida. He said: “As incomes and aspirations grow, Indian consumers’ spending on high-quality and branded home furnishing products continues to grow rapidly, and is now even outpacing China. Over the past five years, most home furnishing products have grown rapidly. With annual demand continuing to grow by more than 20% and expected to maintain this pace for the next decade, the Indian market is heading for a good time. This is our second visit to Greater Noida. With visitor registrations higher than any previous edition, and With some of the world’s most popular home space brands showcasing their ground-breaking technological innovations, businesses across all categories, including home textiles, home decor, homewares and gifts, will be constrained to be vibrant.”

In terms of products, designs, colours and materials, across categories such as home textiles, home decor, home furniture, carpets, floor coverings, handicrafts, outdoor products, housewares, cookware, kitchenware and gifts – HGH India 22 will launch several a new concept.
