OnePlus has launched its new premium smartphone in India, the OnePlus 10T 5G. The company launched its first T-series smartphone in India almost two years after the launch of the OnePlus 8T. The 10T 5G comes with some top-of-the-line hardware. It joins the premium league of smartphones, such as the iQOO 9T, ASUS ROG Phone 6, etc., with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The iQOO 9T is the closest competitor to the OnePlus 9T in terms of specifications and price in India.

Both the smartphones were launched in India for under Rs 50,000. If you want to choose between the two smartphones, here is a quick comparison to see what these phones have to offer.

OnePlus 10T has been launched in India in two storage options. The base 8GB RAM option with 128GB internal storage costs Rs 49,999, while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 54,999. There is also a 16GB RAM option, which comes with 256GB of internal storage and is priced at Rs 55,999.

The OnePlus 10T 5G takes its design inspiration from the more premium 10 Pro 5G. Its camera module blends into the side bezel to provide a more seamless look. However, the triple camera sensor setup is different. It has a glass back and comes in two shades – Moonstone Black and Jade Green. The former has a texture inspired by basalt, while the Jade Green color has a special film on top of the glass to deliver a ceramic-like finish.

Both smartphones are quite tall and not intended for one-handed use. The OnePlus 10T has a 6.7-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout in the top center. The iQOO 9T has a slightly larger 6.78-inch Full HD + AMOLED display. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a hole punch cutout in the top center. The 10-bit display has a maximum brightness of 1500 nits and also comes with HDR10+ certification. It also comes with an Intelligent Display Chip that increases the frame rate and optimizes colors.

Both smartphones come with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The octa-core processor has a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz and comes with an Adreno 730 GPU. It offers performance increases of 10 percent and up to 30 percent better efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

The two premium phones have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UV 3.1 storage. OnePlus also offers a higher 16GB RAM option with 256GB internal storage. Both phones do not support storage expansion via a microSD card. The 9T 5G also has a special V1+ chip that aims to improve not only the camera performance in low light, but also the overall performance of the phone.

iQOO makes a similar claim for the 9T 5G. However, the device has a slightly smaller 4700 mAh battery while supporting 120W fast charging out of the box.

OnePlus and iQOO launched their new premium smartphones with the best performance unit available for a phone in 2022. The 10T 5G also leads in the battery department with its slightly larger and faster battery pack. While both phones claim to charge in 19 minutes, the 10T 5G has a larger 4800 mAh battery and also supports 150W fast charging.

The iQOO 9T, on the other hand, has a better camera setup on paper. It also has the V1+ chip which takes care of the camera performance and also gaming performance. The device also has a larger display that offers features like dual-sample touch, a dedicated display chip, etc. which helps to improve the gaming experience. It also has an IP52 rating, which protects the phone from water splashes.
